I went to Ray Cataldi to purchase a Great Dane. 
He and Steve had a litter of Danes and Salukis.  I fell in love with the fuzzy little Saluki puppies.
So Ray, being the salesman that he is, happened to offer a "buy one get one free sale."
Nancy Lerch and I took littermates.

Our first litter together was
Ch. Dagon's In A Flash x
Ch. Wiljo's Sugar N Spice.
There were 14 puppies born on December 26th. 
She torsioned during delivery. 
She had emergency tack-down surgery, came home and came down with milk fever.  We bottle-fed 14 puppies every 4 hours.
We had John's family over for Christmas that year.  Everyone helped feed while John and I cooked dinner.
Curry was our first breeder, owner, handled Champion and the first in the Top Twenty.

Mic was co-bred by John and Lois Snider.  Mic finished in 6 shows from the 6-9 puppy class,
undefeated and went BOB over specials all six times.

At age 81/2, from the veteran class, Taylor won BOB at the
Illini GDC specialty over 100+ Danes including top ranked specials.  She is now 11 1/2 and bouncing around the house.
